Max Factor is an American cosmetics company introduced in 1909. Polish-Jewish makeup artist Maksymilian Faktorowicz created the company and worked for numerous motion picture productions and events throughout the early 20th century. In 1928, he won an Academy Award for his remarkable work in makeup design. He has styled famous Hollywood clients including Bette Davis, Ben Turpin, Jean Harlow, Joan Crawford, Judy Garland and more.
In 1927, the company released its first broad market cosmetics for common consumers. The company was eventually sold to Norton Simon in 1973 and later sold again to Esmark. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.

I WOULD NEVER BUY THIS PRODUCT AGAIN!!
The product is NOT the original and is not made by Max Factor. It's made by Prism (sp) Parfums in the U.K. and has red, yellow and blue dyes in it, plus all kinds of different types of alcohol. I wore the original for many years until it was discontinued. I finally just found a bottle of the original through another source, which has the MAX FACTOR label on the bottom of the spray bottle with Hollywood, Ca 90028. And it is in the original box. Many sellers are saying the one I bought from Fragrance X is made by Max Factor, and that is not true!! I returned the bottle I bought and got a full refund! Buy at your own risk!!

I love it!!!
I ordered it because I was so thrilled to find it I have been looking for ages. I then read a review that was negative, I tried to cancel but it was too late. I got it and sprayed it on and was not pleased and then I moved my arm and got a wiff and it was like, yeah, this is it...I am very happy with it.

Bought this after reading the description of the scent, and relied on the name of Max Factor, whose Epris perfume I used in the past. Got disappointed.

Slightly misleading
I thought I was getting the original! Nothing like it. This smells cheap and overpowering whereas the original was fresh and distinctive

This is a golden oldie too!
Loved this back in the day. The new stuff goes on with a not great smell. Once on for awhile, it smells like the Geminesse i loved. All in all, I like it

Max Factor was not on bottle or packaging. Packaged and made by unrecognized perfumery. Not authentic!

I used Geminess in the 50s/60s and really liked it but this one Geminesse (with an "e") smelled nothing like that one. There, of course is not your fault. There service was exceptional. I will be glad to recommend your company, just not this particular fragrance.

I LOVE MY GEMINESSE!!! NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. I USE TO WEAR THIS FRAGRANCE IN THE IN THE 70'S. YES....I DID!! HOWEVER BEING INTRODUCED TO OTHER FRAGRANCES, I KIND OF PUT GEMINESSE ASIDE, BUT NOT WITHOUT USING THE ENTIRE BOTTLE. SEVERAL YEARS AGO, I WAS ON MY QUEST TO PURCHASE FRAGRANCES THAT I USE TO WEAR IN THE 70'S AND 80'S. FRAGRANCEX .COM RECENTLY HAD THE FRANGRACE, AS I WOULD OFTEN CHECK THE SITE TO SEE IF GEMINESSE WAS IN STOCK. TO MY SURPRISE, IT WAS IN STOCK. I PURCHASED THE EAU DE TOILETTE AND THE PARFUM. I COULD NOT RESIST AND ALLOW THE FRAGRANCE TO GO OUT OF STOCK AGAIN. LIKE I SAID THE PACKAGING IS DIFFERENT. I HAD TO GET USE TO THE SCENT BECAUSE IT'S BEEN OVER 25 TO 30 YEARS SINCE I WORE THE FRAGRANCE. ALSO, YOUR BODY CHEMISTRY CHANGES AS WELL. GEMINESSE STILL SMELLS VERY, VERY NICE ON ME. I LOVE IT!!! Just received my package in the mail today. I sprayed some on and off to work I went. This Geminesse is a new reproduction of the classic one. If you plan on buying this in hopes that it is the exact same scent Don't! because it's not. The new Geminesse is not bad at all. I just got my first compliment as I was writing this review. It's woodsy has moss in it. A little goes a long way. It has a lingering effect. This will be my go to scent. This smell will stand out in a crowd by itself. I will be buying more!! Call it Geminesse #2!
