Francisco Rabaneda Cuervo was born in Spain in 1934. More commonly known as Paco Rabanne, the same name he would give his brand, he was introduced to fashion at an early age as his mother worked at Balenciaga as the head seamstress. He studied architecture in Paris and designed jewelry for some of fashion’s most well-known labels. He launched his own fashion house in 1966, creating clothing for women.
