Joseph De Jour Perfume by Penhaligon's, Floral green and ambery, Joseph De Jour was launched in 1997 as a floral woody musk perfume for women. Hyacinth and lily of the valley are the top notes in this scent, followed by more florals in the heart notes.
Jasmine, rose, and ylang-ylang contribute to the sweetness and sensuality of the fragrance, before blending into the warmth of the base notes, amber and sandalwood. This is a perfect fragrance to wear during the day, especially in the springtime months.
Based in the United Kingdom, Penhaligon's was founded by the late Joseph Ettedgui, a Casablanca-born pioneer when it came to discovering up and coming fashion talent, including Alexander McQueen, Kenzo, and Galliano. While he dreamed of being an architect and often sketched out ideas for store interiors, he instead left behind a legacy in fashion and retail that continues today. I love this fragrance and was not able to find it for years until I recently found it here. The perfume was created by Penhaligon's for the Joseph brand from England and Penhaligon's makes the best perfumes in the world.
