Although St. Johns Bay Rum celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2017, its origins trace back much further. Albert Heinrich Riise, a Danish chemist, was the first to discover the intoxicating aroma when you mixed St. John bay leaf oils with rums from the Virgin Islands. These amazing fragrances instantly took off. The brand house saw some troubles during the time of Prohibition, and in 1995, Hurricane Marilyn devastated the company’s factories. However, the brand is still around to this day. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.

I ordered this product in a spray colone but when it was shipped, I received it in a regular splash on bottle. I called the company and they were nice and told me to return the bottle (at their expense) and they would immediately send me out the correct bottle. A few days later, after they had received the splash on bottle, they e-mailed me to tell me they were out of the spray bottle and they would credit my account. I lost my $5 off coupon as with the credit the order was short of the requirement. In retrospect, they should have told me they were out of it in the first place or have given me a choice to have the spash on bottle returned. I love the smell of St. John's Bay Rum but will have to wait until the next time to order.
