Crown Spiced Limes Cologne by The Crown Perfumery, Crown Spiced Limes is a classic fragrance first released in 1921. This scent for men is aromatic and opens with a citrusy combination of lemon and lime accords. The spicy heart notes include basil, coriander and clary sage.
In the base are earthy scents of vetiver and oakmoss.
In the early 1800s, William Sparks Thomson owned a thriving corset business in London. His designs were worn by a number of famous clients including Queen Elizabeth. These corsets were worn tightly and often caused women to faint. As a result, Thomson’s son created a lavender-scented smelling salt to help revive them, and this served as the basis for the Crown Perfumery.
The Crown Perfumery was established in 1872, and it quickly began exporting fragrances around the globe. After World War I, the brand was bought by Lever Brothers after dwindling sales. The company closed in 1939. In the late 1990s, English furniture maker Clive Christian bought the company and revived its original fragrances. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.
