Parfums Caron is a famous French perfume brand. The company was founded in 1904 by Ernest Daltroff. Although he had no training to be a perfumer, he always had a profound love for the art form. During the start of the brand, Daltroff hired Felicie Wanpouille, a dressmaker, to serve as the company's artistic adviser. She oversaw all the packaging and bottle design, and this played a major role in the brand's success. Daltroff developed the compositions for the fragrances, and the two created some of the most renowned perfumes during the 20th century. All products are original, authentic name brands. This is very similar to and just as high quality as 'New York Intense' but at a fraction of the cost. If you like NYI get this fragrance, you won't be disappointed!

Amazing fragrance!
Caron is a really underrated house, especially outside of Europe. Le 3è Homme is better than so many "niche" scents today that are more popular. Some may call it dated, but I don't. I also think fougere fragrances are having somewhat of a renaissance. This is spicy and fresh at the same time. It's not listed as a note but I definitely get a leather scent from this much akin to Azzaro Pour Homme, but not as over powering. The clove in this is really nice but the citrus up top keeps it nice and clean smelling. Oakmoss in this is good, though I'm sure it's not real oakmoss. Love at first sniff, though I am very partial to fougere/barbershop type fragrances. It took a while to reach the Philippines since it was shipped from NY to Singapore first then to the Philippines, but the wait was worth it and Fragrancex customer service did a great job of responding to my emails and explaining everything. I am definitely goong to order a backup bottle when I can.

Fantastic fragrance.
Love this. Citrus in the opening, rich and spicy in the mid and dry down. Classy yet fun. Lasts all day on me. Price is great too.

An excellent woody Aromatic fragrance
Its a great woody aromatic fragrance which can be used for daily office purpose. Very clean, fresh vive. The only downfall is the performance which is around 5 to 6 hours. But for this price point you cannot complain. Very classy and can be a signature scent.

very strong cloves scent, so don't over apply
The strongest smell on this cologne is the smells of cloves, which is a strong smelling spice to begin with. I can only handle one spray of this cologne. With one spray it is a masculine and gentelmanly cologne.

True masculine classic scent.
This is a great fragrance by Caron. A great choice if you are not a fan of unisex scents and are seeking a true masculine one. I am a huge fan of Caron products. L'anarchiste is the only one i do not possess . . . yet.

Too much whiz and not enough bang
Le Troisieme Homme De Caron is among the best masculine floral composition. A multi colored and quite complex fragrance that opens with a classic fresh lavender and bergamot accord to then turn smoky, darker and aromatic with hints of rosemary and fern joined by remarkable floral patterns. The dry down it's warmer and sweeter with vanilla and tonka juxtaposed to a remarkable woody presence and animalic-musks. Simply perfect. Le Troisieme Homme has a few peculiar aspects that make of it quite a distinctive fragrance that's so hard to be described as all the elements are skillfully orchestrated in an unique blend. A must try. Surely not for everybody but if you're not afraid of showing your strength through intelligence and mannered kindness, this is for you.

Anisic Absinthe
Essentially fougere, although has gone through waist reduction over the years of reformulation. The current juice is still nice and recognizably floral fougere, but lacks depth and the bitterness oakmoss once provided. It's still a well balanced dandy-ish fragrance, and brings illusions much like how absinthe was once considered hallucinogenic.

subtle, masculine after shave
i was so pleased to be able to buy this product again: it's difficult to find in the uk [...].i love the subtlety of this scent, and in the few days since i received it have had several compliments. it's warm, earthy tones seem particularly suitable now that the weather is getting colder. it lasts all day but is unobtrusive even when first applied. i'd really recommend it for men who like warm, natural, masculine aromas.
