A Unique Classic
A niche choice
I love this fragrance....
It's not a great deal of money for the quality of it. Beautiful.

Holy Wowsah! Awesomeness!
Caron is one of the oldest houses in the market. L'Anarchiste is the most interesting aromatic fragrance in my fragrance collection so far. The mint pops forward right away and stays all the way into the dry-down (doesn't smell like toothpaste or spearmint gum to me as with other reviewers claim). The cinnamon makes this fragrance a little sweet; but that's the thing about this fragrance in the opening that makes it different and stand out from others; and that is this is a fresh, sweet, but yet sharp fragrance all at once. Not sure how this is achieved? Definitely a well blended fragrance (niche quality), and well worth the purchase. Gets better and better as the hours go by on my skin. Settles in well. As the fragrance dries down the cinnamon does pop forward a little more. A great masculine woody and warm spicy fragrance. I highly recommend this one guys!

mint and woods
This cologne smells like a combination of mind and wood. The wood keeps it from smelling like food, which would've ruined the cologne. It smells sort of like a mint forest.

Orange Blossom and Sandalwood
Great Orange Blossom and Sandalwood combination. It's assertive and loud but the Sandalwood makes it awesome. Together it creates a warm copper metallic result. Perfect for a night out.

not as good as Yatagan
L'anarchiste by Caron smells like the cheap, oily hair tonic that barbers used in the 1950's.
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend to a friend.

Original fragrance
L'Anarchiste, a dark, metallic dynamite of originality. It isn't a scent for well behaved sporty gentlemen. It is indeed a flame in the dark. It is the night perfume of a man who is a bit dangerous. Fragrance for a vampire.
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend to a friend.

A modern classic
Caron's quality all the way! One of my all time favorites, L'Anarchiste oozes quality, craftsmanship and style. Apple pie, cinnamon, mint, orange, cedar wood, all mixed together in a perfect harmony, creating fragrance that is both hot and cool, dark and fresh, light and firm. Perfect for all ocasions, this one stays forever in my collection...
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend to a friend.

Not quite as unique as I imagined but still pleasant. Prefer 'Third Man' & 'Yatagan' though.

A Unique Classic
L'Anarchiste is a paradox. It is at once dark and brooding as well as having a fresh burnt orange edge to it. I fell in love with it the first time I smelled it. There is nothing out there quite like this and frankly even if there were, I can't imagine it bettering L'Anarchiste. A classic. You can't better it's packaging either, it's faultless. A bottle coated in copper which develops its own patina with age, becoming its own work of art.
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend to a friend.
