A green western spice garden on a warm afternoon
This is my 2nd Villoresi fragrance I dared to buy. It's clear the Villoresi style is fragrances with low projection. It stays very close to the body and that's how i like it -- inoffensive the others. Longevity was an interesting experiment. It's rather long though the low sillage makes it seem like it's gone. Best with light touch, i found. Overspray will Get a dry down that's unpleasantly cloy. This starts with a strong basil/ cardamom top, like a green herb garden on a mid-morning that's warmed up. Not wet but not dry (smells great in high humidity). Mid is somewhat powdery. On skin, the cardamom gives it that slight east asian indian touch, and there's a mild pepper mid. Dries down after 2hrs and smells like expensive pleasant soap. Very calming. It's rather expensive (and disappointing) if you're looking for high performance. But entirely value for money if you're looking for a subtle, complex, and refined sort of fragrance.
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend to a friend.
