Oscar de la Renta, born in the Dominican Republican, was a fashion designer who showcases an aptitude for art at a young age. When he was a young man, he traveled to Spain to study the art of painting. He instantly became fascinated by the culture and honed his skills in fashion design. One of his earliest jobs was working for Cristobal Balenciaga. He saw great success in the fashion industry in the 1980s and 90s, and he launched his brand’s first fragrance in 1977. It's a fresh old school scent
It's got an old school flare to it but it's not a bad scent just not really with today's scent profile but I still wear it at least once a month

It smells very nice. It kind of has a sweet and spicy scent to it. It definitely has become one of my favorite scents. I don't wear it everyday, just on special occasions or with formal dress. Overall it's a near perfect scent and I'm going to be buying this again.

Unique fragrance- This one needs to macerate some after your first couple uses.. it eventually rounds out more and develops into a nice smelling but unique scent.

Not so De La Renta... Not so Gentlemen...
The package / bottle very nice & stylish indeed. But... This is typical pop-mainstream concoction that doesn't bring anything new in my collection. No associations with high couture of Oscar De La Renta or anything high-class signature. For a picky spoiled modern young "dandy" is too boring, for a mature stylish -Oscar style- gentlemen this one is not elegant enough / lack of character. Synthetic improvisation of champagne with strong cardamom based on soft woody notes. What you get in the end is aroma of good quality deodorant, but nothing more. Little bit of fresh, woody, spicy and aromatic mix of modern synthetic industry for daily use. Almost medium longevity with gentle silage. Lately I even got an unusual negative reaction from my co-workers....
