This is my new favorite fragrance
You only need 2 maybe 3 sprays and you're good for at least 10 plus hours. This scent is very euphoric for me. I would recommend this to any guy that wants to smell very regal and sophisticated.

Sweet, woody, intoxicating fragrance
I live in a hot climate so uses are rare. However, i do wear it in the evening. Sweet, warm spicy, vanilla and tobacco are the main notes i pick. It doesn't last as long as i would like though, but that could be due to its heaviness and it sticking much closer to skin. The decant i had smelt heavenly. The full bottle didn't live up to my expectations hence 4 star rating. The decant was a 5 star.

Unique and familiar
This cologne is amazing. Extremely unique in my opinion, I can't really think of another designer fragrance like it. Yes. It is expensive, but when you consider the pedigree of the House, plus the quality of the cologne, I'd say it's worth it. Plus, the bottle is sizeable, and you really only need one spray on the chest and one on the wrist. It is strong, but not overpowering. Definitely going to buy more, and expand my collection of PDM. Oh and huge bonus points to fragrancex for fast shipping and great service!

Reformulated version
I used this perfume when it was first introduced very long lasting and beast mode projection but this one is new reformulated version it does not last and no projection at all skin scent. That's why perfumes from clone houses are booming they will give exact same thing with better quality for friction of price and all these big companies finding ways to rip off their customers.

Well-blended Masterpiece
What a beautiful scent! You can definitely detect the DNA of Parfums de Marly in this one & generally across their entire fragrance line. If you are a fan of Layton & Herod from the same house, picture this as a combination of both these gorgeous fragrances with an addition of darkness, giving it a classy yet mysterious vibe.

U MUST LIKE MIDDLE EASTERN FRAGRANCES
mthis has a classic middle eastern dna about it but does it's own thing where people in the west can appreciate it (a wearable middle eastern fragrance for western noses) I like it but is WAY to expensive for what it is. I have other middle eastern frags and I blind bought this one. When I got it I felt I knew this frag already but for ALOT less cheaper. I would recommend but only at a cheaper price (150 dollars at most)

Great for cuddling. It's sweet and warm. Also seductive
Great for a date night. It's very sweet but not overpowering. It's warm and seducing. You can't go wrong with this. The longevity on this is also perfect. The smell can last up to a week. The dry down is where the smell really starts to kick in. Only do about 1-2 sprays that's all you need. Females love this fellas!

Very disappointed.
So I know how this cologne smells and it smells so so wonderful! The nutmeg is really in this with the apple and that creamy vanilla sets it off. But when I sprayed this cologne on from FragranceX, it was this sharp rubbing alcohol smell that didn't go away. I immediately call them and requested a refund. I never had an issue with this company until now and I have to just leave it alone. I would say the niche fragrance like Creed, Bond No.9, PDM, Tom Ford, just get it from the real website because you will know what you're getting. Very disappointed in this....

Wow this was love at first sniff
I have never smelled anything like Carlisle before, I instantly fell in love with this fragrance... There's stars, than there's superstars, but I think Carlisle is on an upper echelon, this fragrance hit at Iconic level.. Carlisle to fragrances is what Micheal Jackson was to music, what Babe Ruth was to baseball, what Michael Jordan is to basketball, What Ali was to boxing, what Wayne Gretzky is to hockey, Carlisle is the best of the best, in my opinion this is notches above Herod and Pegasus.. The performance on Carlisle is out of this world, even though it's not listed as one of the notes, but I smelled Oud and tabaco in it, so far my favorites from Parfums de Marly are: 1. Carlisle 2. Layton(original) 3. Habdan 4. Pegasus (Exclusif) 5. Herod

More for yourself than for others
The product smells like earthy essential oils or incense. I like it, but had negative relations from three people the first time I wore it. It has a distinct incense smell that reminds you of a walking into a smoke shop and all you can smell are the incense sticks with a slight tobacco vibe as well. Not a great scent unless your partner likes it or you like it and don't care about offending those around you

When i first sprayed Carlisle, I get an initial blast of strong inscense but as it drys down it becomes more of a smooth vanilla. Similar to Layton's dry down. I personally am not the type to wear a fragrance that has an incense note but would wear this on special occasions during the fall through winter. 7/10

Epitome of Beast Mode
This fragrance lasts the LONGEST on my skin - solid 12 hrs. Up untill the 11th hr it was still projecting. Love the smell - 60% Layton with some leathery minty smell (Herod??) I wore this to office (air conditioned) with occasional trips out on a hot tropical weather. It survived! My Fragrance List 1. PDM Layton 2. PDM Pegasus 3. Great for special occasions
I personally keep this cologne for special occasions and some evening outings. It can be used for romantic as well as more professional occasions. It leans more towards beast projection though I've experienced other colognes that projected farther at the same price point. But, this one is more mass appealing and has a very creamy dry down which separates it from most other luxury colognes with hints of smokiness and sweets (more like luxury sweets). My skin is dry so I don't get the same longevity as other people do. However, it's on the top 3 longest lasting I've ever worn. I've even smelled it on my coat collar the following night. You only really need two sprays (3 if it's really cold) to get the projection marketed. Which is about a arm and a half length. The scent is very pleasing kinda reminds me of a Younger sophisticated millionaire; classy, yet sexy. For the price point, it's reasonable considering how potent it is. I would definitely buy this one again unless Parfum de marly decides to release a exclusif version of it.

Parfums De Marly Carlisle is simply an exquisite gem of a fragrance. It kind of reminds me of a blend of Herod and Oajan. On the opening note there is a hint of apple pie. I know it sounds strange, but it is so good. One can also smell the notes from Herod. If you want to smell terrific and unique, than get this! On my skin I got a good 8 hours! and the projection is top notch!
