Shanghai Tang L'orient Cologne by Shanghai Tang, Shanghai Tang L'orient is a men’s fragrance with woody, fresh spicy, and leather main accords. Its fragrance notes of cedar, leather, and nutmeg make the scent an excellent day or night wear choice for fall and winter. Launched in 2015, the cologne has soft sillage and moderate longevity. The nose for this composition is Carlos Benaim, a Moroccan who is the master perfumer and vice president at International Flavor and Fragrances.

Shanghai Tang is a fashion house founded in Hong Kong in 1994. It is known for luxury home and decorative items, particularly its bone china products, and its modern take on the iconic Chinese women’s dress, the cheongsam. In 1998, founder David Tang sold the business to Swiss luxury goods company Richemont, which held onto the brand until 2017, when it sold the entity to a partnership between an Italian fashion entrepreneur and a Hong Kong-based private equity firm.
