Rousse Perfume by Serge Lutens, This warm, spicy fragrance for women opens with top notes of citrusy mandarin given sweetness and heat from cinnamon.
Heart notes continue the citrus theme with tangy orange, tempered by the powdery freshness of iris and warmed by cinnamon tree wood and clove’s animalic essence. Resins and cedar lend their woody intensity to amber’s depth and vanilla’s smooth warmth in the base. The fragrance offers moderate to high longevity and moderate sillage.
Rousse was launched in 2007 by the house of Serge Lutens, established in 2000. The house’s founder built its reputation in the fragrance world through collaborations with well-known industry names such as Christian Dior and Shiseido. Most of its perfumes were developed through an association with nose Christopher Sheldrake. Sheldrake’s original plan to become an architect was supplanted by desire to work with fragrance. His portfolio includes over 75 fragrances, some created with industry luminaries such as Jacques Polge and Pierre Bourdon. All products are original, authentic name brands.
