nice but not for everybody
This is probably a fragrance for tuberose lovers. The initial 30 minutes are awful , smells like camphor and turpentine together but after, the real nice tuberose comes in and it is very well done. I'd rather buy Fracas next time. Why pay a lot if you just like the end of the perfume?

Polarising
Tubereuse Criminelle is one of those "hate it or can't live without it" fragrances. I fall in the latter category. This is my third bottle of Tubereuse Criminelle in two years. The most polarising aspect is the methyl salicylate opening, which has vividly been described as resembling Vicks Vaporub, Tiger Balm, and burnt rubber tyres. If you can withstand the strange opening, you will be rewarded with gentle, creamy tuberose. Not the bubble-gum pink tuberose of Fracas or most other fragrances marketed as "tuberose," but an androgynous, slightly indolic tuberose supported by the spices nutmeg and clove. Lasting power is quite good, as is projection (gets compliments from males and females). A slap, and then a kiss, a tuberose that straddles the masculin and feminin.

I love Tubereuse Criminelle
I wear Tubereuse Criminelle any time it is one of my favourite scents, I am a collector of Tubereuse scents and I find TC very easy to wear and it draws compliments. It has good staying power like most SL scents.

strangly amazing
My first full bottle of Serge Lutens - didn't dissapoint, quite opposite - I really love it more and more with each wear... Another thing to mention: I think FragranceX is the best place to by perfume from Canada - extremely fast FREE shipping and no additional charges at customs - thank you
