Fille En Aiguilles Perfume by Serge Lutens, Fille en Aiguilles is a dramatic scent from French perfume designer Serge Lutens that layers scents of pine under notes of citrus and winter spices. The perfume’s name, which translates to “girl on needles,” even references the strong pine component.
Bay leaf and frankincense both help to anchor the fragrance, while vetiver brings in a fresh green bouquet to the perfume’s song. The fragrance has good staying power without an overpowering sillage, and
the final woodsy and comforting result is well suited for either a woman or a man.
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Serge Lutens was known for creating memorable fragrances for the brand Shiseido. The powerful scents and designs he created there helped to lay the foundation for the signature style he would continue to develop when he launched his own eponymous brand in 2000.
